The Five Most Important Supplements

The Five Most Important Supplements

First is an excellent quality multi-vitamin. This is essential because the multi fills in what your diet is lacking. The multi provides the essential nutrients your body needs for optimal functioning. Don’t purchase store brands or nationally advertised Multis, they come up short in testing, stick to the Brand Name Multis sold in Health Food Stores or on line.

Second is a quality Omega-3 supplement.  Fish oil is today’s bestselling supplement and with good reason. The EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) in omega-3 fish oil have profoundly positive effects on human health. Omega-3 has shown many positives with regard to health issues.

Third is CoQ-10 (also known as ubiquinol) it is a nutrient produced by the “energy factories” in your cells called mitochondria. Taking a CoQ-10 supplement boosts the way your cells produce and use energy. It also helps your body burn fat, improves cholesterol ratios, boosts your physical energy levels and improves thyroid and pancreas functions. Hilife recommends you purchase Ubiquinol since the body has to convert CoQ-10 to Ubiquinol.

Fourth is Magnesium. You’ve been hearing about calcium and bone health forever, but did you know that calcium can not be absorbed unless magnesium is present. Without it, calcium is much less effective in maintaining your bones and regulating your nerve and muscle tone. Magnesium may be the most important mineral you can take because it’s a key player in 300 essential bodily functions, and is used by all of your organs. It activates enzymes, powers your energy and helps your body absorb vitamin D, potassium and zinc.

Fifth is Vitamin D, which has many marvelous benefits. Most Americans are badly deficient in vitamin D because doctors consider the sun our enemy and your skin converts solar rays into this essential vitamin. Make sure you purchase vitamin D3 because it is 87% more potent than other D vitamins.

Sleep and Good Health

Insomnia: Possible Solutions to Common Sleep Problems
Are you are having sleep problems or feel tired during the day? The first thing you should do is find out what is causing your sleep problem. Keep in mind that what works for others, may not work for you.Try to get close to eight hours of sleep, although as you get older many people can do with less.

Check out hilifehealthcare.com  (http://www.hilifehealthcare.com/Sleep-Aids-s/2019.htm) for our best selling Sleep Aids.

Here are a few tips that we have found to be useful:
1.  Avoid caffeine and alcohol in the late afternoon and evening. Caffeine can delay your sleep, and alcohol may interrupt your sleep later at night.

2.  Exercise regularly, but not before bedtime. A late workout may actually keep you awake because your body has not had a chance to cool down.

3.  Don’t use your bed for anything other than sleep or sex. Your bed should be associated with sleep.

4.  Consider your sleep environment. Make it as comfortable, dark and quiet as you can.
If you have insomnia or trouble sleeping when you go to bed, don’t nap during the day since it affects your ability to sleep at night. Establish a relaxing bedtime routine that will allow you to unwind and send a “signal’ to your brain that it’s time to sleep. Avoid exposure to bright light before bedtime, taking a hot bath may also help.
If you can’t go to sleep after 30 minutes, don’t stay in bed tossing and turning. Get up and involve yourself in a relaxing activity, such as listening to soothing music or reading, until you feel sleepy. Remember: clear your mind; don’t use this time to solve your daily problems.

Many people treat insomnia with a Best Selling Natural Sleep Aid.  We sell both Single Herbal Products and Combination Formulations. Holy Basil, Melatonin, Theanine and Valerian are herbal products proven to promote sleep. Adequate sleep is as essential to health and peak performance. If you can not get a good night’s sleep, we suggest you talk to your healthcare provider.

Why you should take Vitamin D

vitamin d

The two main ways to get vitamin D are by exposing your bare skin to sunlight and by taking vitamin D supplements. You can’t get the right amount of vitamin D your body needs from food.

Research has continues to document Vitamin D’s role in the reduction of the risk of fractures to a significant degree. The latest research, shows that Vitamin D deficiency is linked to a surprising number of other health conditions such as depression, back pain, cancer, both insulin resistance and pre-eclampsia during pregnancy, impaired immunity and macular degeneration.

The most natural way to get vitamin D is by exposing your bare skin to sunlight (ultraviolet B rays). Vitamin D is the only vitamin the body can manufacture from sunlight yet with today’s indoor living and the extensive use of sunscreens due to concern about skin cancer, we are a society with millions of individuals deficient in life-sustaining bone building and immune modulating Vitamin D.

You can also get vitamin D by taking supplements. This is a good way to get vitamin D if you can’t get enough sunlight, or if you’re worried about exposing your skin. Vitamin D3 is the best kind of supplement to take. It comes in a number of different forms, such as tablets and capsules, but it doesn’t matter what form you take, or what time of the day you take it.

Researchers Call for Higher Dosages of Vitamin D. They say the greatest challenge is the outdated acceptable upper limit for Vitamin D consumption, which was set at 2,000 IU. However more recent studies have shown that 10,000 IU is the safe upper limit. Different organizations recommend different amounts of vitamin D supplement to take each day. The Vitamin D Council recommends taking larger amounts of vitamin D each day than other organizations, because smaller amounts aren’t enough to give you what your body needs. Most people can take vitamin D supplements with no problems. However, if you have certain health problems or take certain medicines, please check with your health care provider.

What is the difference between CoQ10 and Ubiquinol?

Kaneka QH Ubiquinol vs Kaneka Q10
Both products are made by Kaneka Nutrients a Leading United States Manufacturer. The product is featured in the Healthy Origins Line of Supplements of which Hilifehealthcare is a major distributor. This Quality line is available to our customers at Amazing Prices, Click Here.

Kaneka Q10® is the brand name of the ubiquinone ingredient found in many Coenzyme Q10 products and has been taken as a supplement by millions of people over the past thirty years. Ubiquinone is the form of CoQ10 most recognized by consumers. Ubiquinol is the active and more absorbable form of CoQ10, but is not as well known because it wasn’t available in supplements until 2006 when Kaneka Nutrients introduced Kaneka QH Ubiquinol®.

Ubiquinone, one of the most powerful known lipid-soluble antioxidants, is produced naturally within the body.

Its importance in cellular energy production is well established. Ubiquinol is the reduced, active antioxidant form of CoQ10. It also plays an essential but different role in the cellular energy production process.

Both ubiquinone and ubiquinol are critical to the cellular ATP (energy) production cycle. Without the presence of both ubiquinone and ubiquinol within the body’s cells, cellular energy cannot be generated or sustained.

Until recently, the only way to increase ubiquinol levels in plasma was to convert it from ubiquinone within the body, which research has shown becomes increasingly difficult with age. It took scientists and researchers more than a decade to stabilize ubiquinol for use in supplements because it was so easily oxidized outside of the body.

Ubiquinone (CoQ10) will continue to be an important supplement for those who want to maintain good health in their 20s and 30s. Ubiquinol, however, will be of particular importance for those 40 and older, or with hindered ability to convert CoQ10.
